ARRIVED. BUT NOT QUITE YET…

ARRIVED. BUT NOT QUITE YET…

I have just moved back to London to start my MA studies in fashion business management. It has been a crazy time back home, and I am very happy with how the business is progressing.

Now a new season is ahead and again, one needs to adjust to the new. Its going to be an adventure – I wouldn’t expect less – and still, transition is somewhat challenging. The dark night of the soul…

The Obscure Night of the Soul

Upon an obscure night
Fevered with love in love’s anxiety
(O hapless-happy plight!),
I went, none seeing me,
Forth from my house where all things be.

……………………..

Saint John of the Cross

A dark night of the soul is a kind of initiation, taking you from one phase of life into another. You may have several dark nights in the course of your life because you are always becoming more of a person and entering life more fully. At least, that is the hope.

BAKING…MY OTHER CALLING

BAKING…MY OTHER CALLING

Baking. I would call it my other calling…sort of. Or at least a way to relax when life is crazy. I enjoy baking so much that my family is overeaten on a regular basis. I had to start handing out cakes to other people and working places nearby, haha!

I LOVE carrot cakes. Its a shame, one cannot buy it in Switzerland. Instead of being abstinent until going back to London, I took faith into my own hands and baked one myself! After converting all the different cup measurements into grams and actually baking it, I could finally enjoy a delicious slice of cake! It turned out so great, just terrific:)

Quite proud of myself (the american “quite”)…
